Maggie Grace Boards Exorcist-On-A-Plane Pic ‘Incident On 459’

Maggie Grace has boarded airline horror pic Incident On 459 which IMR will be selling internationally at the upcoming Cannes Market. UTA Independent Film Group is on domestic sales with principal photography beginning in Kiev this September.

The Saw franchise’s Kevin Greutert is directing the pic from Chris Sparling’s script. The story centers on the discovery of a demon-possessed passenger on a transatlantic flight from Boston to London, leaving it up to the rest of the passengers to figure out how to survive before crashing, or being blown up by the Air Force.

Grace (Taken, Lost) will play Valerie, a psychologist and single mother with a special needs son, who is on the flight. Her ex-boyfriend is also on the plane, forcing the pair to set their differences aside and figure out how to deal with the demon. Valerie’s values and beliefs are tested to the limit as she must come to terms with the supernatural and that which cannot be explained.

Jean Charles Lévy, Morgan Emmery and Julian Gross are producing for Tungstene Productions, alongside Vlad Ryashin and Olias Barco for Apple Tree Productions. Trinity Media Financing will finance the film.

IMR’s Fox says, “It’s going to be a thrilling ride with the combination of Maggie Grace, Chris Sparling’s incredible script and Kevin’s vision… Think of The Exorcist on a plane.”

Lévy adds, “We read Chris’ script and immediately fell for it and we’re incredibly excited to have Kevin and Maggie onboard. We are building a dedicated set in Kiev for this plane which will have all the tools to maximize production value. We want this to feel as real and large as possible, so that when people watch it, they’ll feel they’re on the plane themselves with a growing sense of claustrophobia and terror.”

IMR’s Cannes slate also includes What Is Life Worth starring Michael Keaton; Black Flies with Mel Gibson and Tye Sheridan; Scott Z Burns’ The Report starring Adam Driver; Guy Ritchie’s Bush; and King Of The Jungle with Seth Rogen and Keaton.

Grace and Greutert are repped by UTA and Zero Gravity Management. Sparling by UTA and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment.

Showbizjunkies.com Interview

‘Fear the Walking Dead’ – Alycia Debnam-Carey and Maggie Grace Interview on Season 5

AMC brought the entire cast of Fear the Walking Dead to the 2019 WonderCon in Anaheim. That included the surprise return of Rubén Blades and the appearance of series newbie Austin Amelio who’s crossing over from The Walking Dead. Of the original Fear cast, only Colman Domingo and Alycia Debnam-Carey remain.

Alycia Debnam-Carey was paired with Maggie Grace for roundtable interviews about season five of Fear the Walking Dead. The trailer showed fans a few hints about where the new season is headed, but unfortunately the series isn’t returning to AMC’s primetime lineup until June 2, 2019.

What’s going on with Grace this season? She was reluctant to connect but we saw connections starting to happen.

Maggie Grace: “Dragged kicking and screaming towards community. Yeah, I think she finds a much more direct sense of community in using the tapes to get to people that need help and potentially build a community around Morgan’s philosophies. I think what’s an interesting side this season is being thrust into context of a much wider world, a new part of The Walking Dead universe”

Can you talk about what was happening in the scene where you’re being knocked around and dragged?

Maggie Grace: “Well, I can because there was this dragging machine where my hands were bound, my legs were bound to the bar. And as the dolly moves, it drags me with it. Basically, I was just bound to the dolly. I don’t know what I ever did to Mike [Satrazemis]. It was a cool shot that Michael came up with that I was happy to do.

There’s a great contest that goes on with Alex in our props department. In the trailer, you can see that I’m doing this to get out of my hands. Actually what is happening, whenever they had the stunt ones, I had to do such crazy things that they’d break so we started actually binding them, as if you’re really properly. I was able to get out of them three times in a row with my feet. Maggie 3, Props 0.”

AMC SETS JUNE 2 PREMIERE DATE FOR “FEAR THE WALKING DEAD” SEASON 5

FEAR RETURNS AT 9:00 PM ET/ 8:00 PM CT

ANAHEIM, CA – March 30, 2019

AMC announced today from WonderCon that Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 and the highly-anticipated supernatural horror series NOS4A2 will premiere back-to-back on Sunday, June 2 at 9:00pm ET/8:00pm CT and 10:00pm ET/9:00pm CT, respectively. In addition, subscribers to AMC Premiere, AMC’s premium upgrade option, will have an opportunity to binge the entire season of 10 episodes beginning Sunday, June 2.

A WonderCon panel for Fear the Walking Dead takes place tomorrow, Sunday, March 31 from 12:30pm-1:30pm and will feature series stars Lennie James, Colman Domingo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Danay Garcia, Garret Dillahunt, Maggie Grace, Jenna Elfman, Alexa Nisenson and new crossover character Austin Amelio along with executive producers and showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, executive producer Scott M. Gimple and director Michael Satrazemis.

“Fear remains one of the most successful dramas on cable with a passionate fanbase who we think will love NOS4A2, a suspenseful and electrifying character drama set against the back drop of supernatural horror. We anticipate the audience overlap will be strong,” said Sarah Barnett, President of AMC Networks Entertainment Group. “Showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg brilliantly reinvented Fear in its fourth season to much critical acclaim and we can’t wait to share with those fans what they have in store for Season 5. Likewise, NOS4A2 showrunner Jami O’Brien and her incredible writing team have created something we didn’t know we needed until now – a perfectly unmissable intertwining of horror and Christmas.”

In Fear the Walking Dead Season 5, the group’s mission is clear: locate survivors and help make what’s left of the world a slightly better place. With dogged determination, Morgan Jones (James) leads the group with a philosophy rooted in benevolence, community and hope. Each character believes that helping others will allow them to make up for the wrongs of their pasts. But trust won’t be easily earned. Their mission of helping others will be put to the ultimate test when our group finds themselves in unchartered territory, one which will force them to face not just their pasts but also their fears. It is only through facing those fears that the group will discover an entirely new way to live, one that will leave them forever changed.

Produced by AMC Studios, Fear the Walking Dead is the #4 drama on cable among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 in Nielson live+3 ratings. The series is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero.
